Mellors Charity Activities
Mellors staff members and customers have always been very generous with their time and money raising efforts for a whole host of charities. This year we wanted to consolidate our efforts to support a very worthy and relevant charity, Zoë’s Place.
This is Mellors’ inaugural year for its charity fundraising efforts and I know you are already planning to climb mountains, run marathons, cycle thousands of miles, pound pavements in the middle of the night, organize quizzes, wear fancy dress, sponsored slimming, sponsored “anything”, concerts and of course do what we do best - give Mary Berry a run for her money with our epic cake bake sales. The coming year offers a whole host of exciting new challenges to join in. If you would like to get involved with any events – or have an idea for your own to raise money for a charity of your choice, we are here to support you all the way.

You'll see our fundraising target on the right and by registering an activity or donating to one of our fundraising pages. You can help us smash this goal and really make a difference. We chose donating through JustGiving because it is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.

Zoë’s Place is a wonderful charity that offers respite and palliative care to babies and young children who suffer from life changing or life restrictive illnesses. This care also provides parents and carers with some well-deserved respite and so is a crucial part of every child’s care.
Each day Mellors teams provide a nutritional meal to over 8000 children in Primary and Secondary schools across the North of England. It is our ambition to give as many children the best possible nutritional start in life and therefore partnering with Zoë’s Place provides a mutual appreciation for the wellbeing of children that we provide a service for.
