Mellors Heads to London for the Foodservice CATEYs Awards 2026!

The Mellors team headed to London recently for the prestigious Foodservice CATEY Awards, hosted by The Caterer at the Royal Lancaster Hotel on Friday 9th October. We were thrilled to be shortlisted for an incredible five awards — a real reflection to the energy and commitment our teams bring every single day. The awards is hosted by The Caterer Magazine.

With 550 guests and caterers from across the country, #TeamMellors enjoyed an evening celebrating foodservice. Every day, together, we serve over 150,000 fresh, tasty school meals — helping fuel learning, focus and brighter school days for pupils across the country. Being recognised at the CATEYs reflects the passion, creativity and teamwork that run right through Mellors, and we’re proud of our 2,000 strong team who plays a part.

The night began with a bustling drinks reception, followed by introductions from comedian Jayde Adams. Dinner was a foodie highlight: a vibrant beetroot salad, slow‑cooked Ox Cheek and a passionfruit soufflé topped with coconut ice cream. A proper treat.

While we didn’t bring home a trophy this time, our Mellors team proudly represented everyone across the business, showcasing the passion, dedication and spirit that make us who we are, while staying true to our roots.

And we’re far from finished. Mellors will keep raising the bar for school meals, bringing fresher, tastier and more nutritious dishes to pupils with our team of friendly foodies at the heart of it all.

With big wins already under our belt this year — including Contract Caterer of the Year and Family Business of the Year 2026 — we’re grateful to be recognised for what we love doing – creating and serving delicious and nutritious meals.
