Find out how Mellors implemented digital screens to transform the dining experience at a Grammar School.

Mellors are continually looking to improve efficiency and love to spearhead new digital projects and transformations to improve the dining experience for our customers. Recently, we installed two cutting edge digital screens to help break queue boredom, promote mindful menu choices and increase student engagement.

These state-of-the-art screens help to inform and educate students, and have proved invaluable whilst they’re queuing and dining. By presenting messages in a clear and captivating manner, they significantly enhance the customer experience.

The screens have been installed in two locations, to connect with those waiting in the restaurant queue and those already dining.

The second screen location within the dining room, help to entice students who are ordinarily on packed lunches on some of the many nutritional benefits of Mellors meals.

The content displayed varies from menus, educational food topic and deals of the day. The screens have effectively raise awareness of theme days such as “Seasonal Superstars,” which educates students on the advantages of selecting fresher, more sustainable produce.


This stimulating digital signage has helped to improve the customer experience, whilst portraying messages in a clear and engaging manner. The screens have reduced queue times and continue to be a source of conversation with students. Overall, the implementation of digital screens has been a resounding success, and we are excited about expanding this initiative to more Mellors locations.
